Yr 2 Phonic Wall

Last term we were making word banks for our class Phonics Wall.  We collected new words in English related to our Science topics and we classified them in groups (words with ee, oo, ea, short u, ph and ow).  This is what our wall looks like:

This term we are making our own word banks.  We will be revising the words we already know and add new ones as we learn more Science words.

El pasado trimestre estuvimos construyendo bancos de ortografía para trabajar la ortografía inglesa en clase.  Coleccionamos palabras relacionadas con nuestras unidades de ciencias que se escribieran con ee, oo, ea, ow, u, ow....
Este trimestre estaremos creando nuestros bancos de palabras individualmente.  Con ellos repasaremos las palabras ya aprendidas y añadiremos otras nuevas.

Guess the animal game

We've been playing Guess the animal in the Yr1 class today.  Have a look!

Experiment Yr 2: Planting pulses

We will  start our experiments  this coming Friday.  Please bring the following items as soon as possible:

       - yoghurt pot (empty & clean)
       - A little bit of cotton wool
       - Pulses (beans, cheak peas, lentils)
       - A sock tight (brown, beige or black)

If you have avocado stones, please bring them!

Empezaremos nuestros experimentos el próximo viernes.  Por favor traed lo siguiente tan pronto como podáis:

        - un vaso de yogur limpio y vacío

        - un poco de algodón

        - Legumbres (alubias, garbanzos, lentejas...)

        - Una media calcetín (beige, marrón o negra...)

Si tenéis huesos de aguacate en casa, por favor traedlos.

 

Story: The princess and the dragon

We are starting a project on Castles and Medieval times in the Infants.  This story is our departure point.

Comenzamos un proyecto sobre castillos y la época medieval en Infantil.  Este cuento de una princesa y un dragón será nuestro punto de partida para iniciar nuestro trabajo en inglés.

Remember that you have to draw a diagram of a plant in A4 paper and label it as well.  Colour it but do not colour the background.

Os recuerdo que debéis hacer el dibujo de la planta y escribir sus partes en inglés.  Se debe colorear pero el fondo debe quedar en blanco.
