Water Cycle model

Amparo in Year 3A made a model of the water cycle last weekend. I'm sure she has learnt a lot and had a lot of fun making it with her family.  The model has also been very useful in class because I have been able to explain the cycle in a more visual way.

Amparo de 3ºA nos ha traído una maqueta del Ciclo del Agua.  Estoy segura de que ha aprendido bastante haciéndola y además se habrá divertido mucho con su familia.  La maqueta además ha sido muy útil en clase porque me ha servido para explicar el ciclo de una forma más visual.

Investigation Year 2: Song about insects and bugs

We have enjoyed this song in class today.  If you want to do a little investigation, you can draw all the  little animals that appear on the video.  Then I would like you to add an insect of your choice.  If you color your them all, your work will be brilliant!

Hemos disfrutado de esta canción en clase.  Si queréis hacer una pequeña investigación, podéis dibujar todos los animales que aparecen.  Después me gustaría que añadierais un dibujo de vuestro insecto favorito.  Si coloreáis vuestro insectos, quedarán fenomenal.

What is an insect?

Insects are invertebrate animals with six legs.  Most of them have wings and they can fly.  They also have antennae or feelers so they can smell.  Ladybirds, butterflies, bumblebees and beetles are insects.  Spiders have eight legs so they are not insects.

Frog's life Cycle

Frogs are oviparous.  They lay eggs in the water.  When they are born, they don´t look like frogs at all.  They look more like little fish with a big head.  These are called tadpoles.  They breath through gills in the water.  Later tadpoles grow legs and their tail disappear.  They have lungs to breathe.  They are ready to live on land.
