Hello Mum & Dads in Yr2!
This weekend the children will read TWO STUPID CATS (Story 1) and WHAT TIME IS IT? (Story 7).  There are no worksheets this weekend. Go to the link on reading at the top of the blog and then click on Animated Stories 02.

Please, revise the Dolch words.

Este fin de semana vuestros hijos/as deben leer TWO STUPID CATS (Cuento 1) y WHAT TIME IS IT? (Cuento 7).  No hay ficha de seguimiento este fin de semana.  Id a enlace de lectura situado encima de nuestra flor de primavera y pinchar en Animated Stories 02.

Deben repasar también las palabras Dolch de su llaverito.

Homework Y1: Reading online

The reading link I explained about a few entries ago is now at the top on the blog just above our spring flower.   This weekend the children will read I SEE (Story 1) and TEDDY'S DAY (Story 7).  They should also do the worksheets that reinforce their reading.

Please, revise the Dolch words.

El enlace de lectura que mostré en una entrada anterior está ahora encima de nuestra flor de primavera.  Este fin de semana vuestros hijos/as deben leer I SEE (Cuento 1) y TEDDY'S DAY (Cuento 7).  Por favor, es importante que repitan y pronuncien bien y que luego refuercen lo leído con   las fichas de lectura que llevarán a casa. 

Deben repasar también las palabras Dolch de su llaverito.

Caretas para el teatro de 1º

Algunos padres han encontrado caretas y complementos de animales en el almacén chino del polígono.  Se pueden utilizar sin problema y si no encontráis de vuestro animal, las haremos en clase.  Después del puente de Mayo me informáis aquellos que no las hayáis encontrado y nos pondremos manos a la obra. ¡Gracias!

It's good to read!

In Yr1 we will be using this link to read some stories in class.  The stories are ideal for children starting to read in English.  They can listen and read at the same time, or they can see the stories as a movie once they understand the words.  It will be brilliant if they practice at home!

En las clases de Inglés de 1º usaremos este enlace para leer cuentos en clase.  Son ideales para aquellos que comienzan a leer en inglés ya que pueden escuchar y leer al mismo tiempo, o bien ver los cuentos en formato video una vez que entiendan lo que escuchan.  Sería estupendo para su progreso lector el que los practicaran en casa.

Yoga in the park

Dolch words key rings

Hello everyone!  The best thing to use to hold your Dolch words is a flange, because we can open it and add more words when we need to.   I used a flange with mine.

Follow the word order shown in the photographs to put yours together.

La mejor forma de tener vuestras tarjetas juntas es usar una brida ya que después iremos añadiendo más palabras y la brida es fácil de abrir y cerrar.  Yo he usado una brida con las mias.

Para poner las palabras juntas seguid el orden que tienen en las fotografías.

Alberto's beans

Alberto has been growing some beans at home and he has brought them twice to school to show  how much they have grown in a week.  Well done!

Alberto ha plantado habichuelas en casa y las ha traído dos veces a clase para que veamos lo que han crecido.  ¡Buen trabajo!  Gracias, Alberto.

Our first 40 Dolch words

Hello Mums & Dads!
Children in Year 1 & 2 will be taking home the first 40 Dolch words this weekend.  There is no need to laminate the words as it is expensive and the laminating comes undone.  So please, just stick the words on card.  If you can make a hole in each card and hold them all together with a key ring or a piece of string, then our words will be ready!  Thank you!

Este fin de semana los niños de 1º y 2º llevarán a casa las primeras cuarenta palabras de la lista Dolch (Son palabras que aparecen con mucha frecuencia en la lectura y deben trabajarse para así empezar a leer con fluencia en inglés).  No hace falta plastificar las palabras ya que es caro y el plástico al final se separa.  Por favor, simplemente pegad las palabras sobre cartulina.  Si podéis hacer un agujerito en cada tarjeta y unirlas todas con una anilla o una cuerdecita, nuestras primeras palabras quedarán listas.  ¡Gracias!
